Lydia Sarfati, Founder and CEO of Sarkli-Repêchage, was presented with the prestigious Chevalerie “Knight Award” for exceptional services within her country at the 2009 “Night of the Stars” Intercoiffure Mondial Awards Event held in Paris on September 12th, 2009. The award, presented by Intercoiffure America-Canada’s president Lois Christie, marks Lydia as the first and only skin care professional to be recognized by Intercoiffure with such an award.
“I am so honored to receive this award and to be recognized by Intercoiffure for my accomplishments and promotion of the Intercoiffure name in the United States,” Lydia says. “It is an unbelievable privilege to be the first skin care company to receive this award.”
In 2008, Lydia was inducted as Director of the Skin Care Council of Intercoiffure America/ Canada at the Fall Atelier. Lydia is currently working to create a certification program that will allow Intercoiffure members to certify estheticians, thus creating interaction and unity among the most talented of estheticians and setting industry standards that will define the future of skincare.
Highlights of this year’s event included a look at style from Scott Cole, Gina Khan, Jo Blackwell and the US and Canadian design team, a look at the current trends in this economic crisis with Klaus Peter Ochs, and special presentations from design teams around the world. Additional US awardees included Sheila Zaricor Wilson, Jo Blackwell Preston, Gina Khan, Deborah Carver, Darlene Gage, Dee Levin, Maryanne McCormick and Richard Calcasola.
