| 1. | Where does Repêchage get its seaweed? |
| Most of the Repêchage seaweeds are harvested off the Brittany Coast of France. Seaweed harvesting is regulated by the French Government. There are over 800 species of seaweed found off the Brittany Coast and because of the extreme tide, the waters are clean and unpolluted. |

| 2. | What makes Repêchage seaweed different from the seaweed in other skincare lines? |
| First, due to the unique environment found off the Brittany Coast, seaweed growing there is fresh and abundant. Second, Repêchage processes its seaweed using a patented cold-microburst method called Cryobroyage, which retains the seaweed nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. |

| 3. | Is Repêchage seaweed sourced from sustainable sources? |
| Repêchage uses freshly harvested seaweed from the Brittany Coast of France. Seaweed harvesting in France is strictly regulated by the French government ensuring protection and renewability of this natural resource. In addition, the list of ECO CERT ingredients that we are using in our products is growing everyday. Many of our seaweeds are already certified and we are making an effort to continue to use ECO CERT ingredients. |

4. | Is the seaweed you use organic? |
| Yes. Repêchage seaweed is freshly harvested from the sea therefore it is grown without the use of conventional pesticides or artificial fertilizers. Cryobroyage, or cold microbursting, a patented method of seaweed processing retains all the vitamins, minerals, and amino acids and assures that it is processed without ionizing radiation or food additives. |

| 5. | My client is allergic to shellfish. Can he/she still use Repêchage products? |
| Yes. Shellfish allergy is due to a protein produced by animals. We do not use any animal products, we use seaweed based actives. If you can swim in the ocean you can use Repêchage products. |

6. | My client is allergic to iodine. Can he/she still use Repêchage products? |
| Yes. Topical application of the seaweed based products is not known to elicit any such response. |
|
|
7. | Will a client with an allergy to almond be able to use the Opti-Lift Serum with almond biopolymer? |
| Yes. Making the biopolymer has changed the molecule into a larger entity so it doesn’t behave the same as a simple almond. If in doubt, give your client a patch test on their arm.. |
|

8. | Can Honey and Almond Scrub be used on clients with peanut allergies? |
|
Yes, but if in doubt, perform a patch test. |
|
|
9. | If a client is allergic to Sulfa and/ or Sulfates, can they still receive the Hydra Medic Facial with the Desincrustation Mask? |
| Yes, the Desincrustation Mask in the Hydra Medic Facial is based on Colloidal Sulfur, which is different from Sulfa and Sulfates. |

| GENERAL INGREDIENT QUESTIONS |

10. | Does Repêchage use animal by-products, and do you do animal testing? |
| Repêchage does not use animal derived ingredients and we never add any dyes to our products. Also, we never test our products on animals. |

11. | Does Repêchage use Parabens? |
| Repêchage is made from the best ingredients the earth and sea have to offer. Using natural ingredients, it is imperative to preserve the high quality of the product as well as the safety of our clients by using low levels of preservatives. The Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) reviewed the safety of methylparaben, propylparaben, and butylparaben in 1984, and again in 2003 (following the controversy) and concluded they were safe for use in cosmetic products at levels up to 25%. Typically parabens are used at levels ranging from 0.01 to 0.3%. Parabens are widely used in foods and medicines. Parabens are the only preservatives that are globally approved to date. In spite of this, we realize that some clients object to Parabens and we continue to test other options. At this moment about half of our products are Paraben free. |

12. | Do any of your products contain the “new” ingredient polyhydroxy acid? |
| Gluconolactone and the other polyhydroxy acids are derived from, and related to, sugars (e.g., galactose, sucrose and lactose) and to sorbitol. Seaweeds (like Laminaria Digitata found in most Repêchage products) contain sugars along with all of their benefits. In addition, new Repêchage Opti-Firm Eye Contour Treatment contains a sugar mask. |

| The average shelf life after opening is 6 months. All products have a picture of an open jar on the back. Inside the picture is a number and letter. This refers to the length of time it is still good after opening. For example “6M” refers to 6 months. However, storage conditions and use habits also greatly influence the life expectantly and freshness of products. Always use clean implements when removing product from a jar, and close lids tightly after use. |

19. | Must I use products from one collection, or may I select from multiple collections within Repêchage? |
| Depending on your skin’s needs, you may select from multiple collections for optimal results. |

20. | Why don’t more Repêchage moisturizers contain SPF? |
| The higher the SPF, the more chemicals there are in a product. Repêchage tries to keep products as natural as possible. Seaweed acts a natural sun filter, giving you some protection. For a measurable amount of SPF protection, our Perfect Skin Liquid Foundation has SPF 12, and the Opti Firm Lift Cream has SPF 10. |

| Repêchage Vita Cura Nutritional Supplements are part of our mature skincare category as it is recommended for weight loss, detoxification, and to help lift energy levels. Ascophyllum Nodosum and Spirulina Seaweeds deliver necessary vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and trace elements to meet daily nutritional needs. Repêchage Hydra Medic Freeze Dried Spirulina Supplements with the added benefit of zinc, is great for healing the skin from the inside out and therefore is recommended for clients with problem/acne skin. The high protein content of Spirulina also helps with healing, and the Omega 3 fatty acids also help maintain a proper skin barrier.

Also, the Purifying and Calming Essential Oils may be mixed into the Mineral Mask of the Four-Layer Facial because it does not come in direct contact with the skin.

| Rapidex® is a gentle Marine Hydroxy Acid Complex. It combines Marine Hydroxy Acids and other acids, such as Lactic Acid, Citric Acid and Tartaric Acid to provide the safest and most gentle exfolaition. It comes pre-saturated in a cotton swab and should be swabbed on the face after cleansing in upward and outward motions, avoiding the eye and mucous membranes for 14 consecutive nights. It is suitable for all skin types except chemically damaged and sunburned skin. Also, the Hydra Refine One Minute Clarifying Mask brightens the skin because of the active brightening ingredients from Kojic Acid, Licorice & Mulberry Extracts.

32. | Does Rapidex need to be removed? |
| Yes. At home after 15 minutes, remove with damp cotton, then neutralize with toner. When used in the treatment room, remove after 5-7 minutes. |

33. | How soon will I see results with the Rapidex? |
| You will notice positive changes in your complexion immediately. The skin will be smoother and brighter after even one application. However, be sure to always wear SPF when using this product, especially if you are treating hyperpigmentation.

| Yes. The rubber bowl is needed to whip air into the masks. It also enables masks to have more oxygen and makes clean up easier. The Repêchage rubber bowls are medical grade, so the rubber will not corrode or break down and flake. They are very durable, created especially for Repêchage “lift-off” masks, and make clean up easy, as the masks do not stick to the Repêchage bowl.

41. | The Seaweed Treatment Mask feels so cold. Can I warm up the mask before applying it to my client’s skin? |
| No. The mask is cold in order to be soothing to the skin while reducing inflammation and sunburn. In addition it provides toning and firming benefits.

42. | Can the Repêchage Seaweed Treatment Mask and other masks be used over facial hair? |
| Yes. However, if a man has a particularly thick beard or moustache you should avoid the area. The only mask that should NOT be applied over hair is the Mineral Mask (Layer 4 of the Repechage Four Layer Facial).

| Each gel sachet contains ingredients in a specified amount to work expressly with its counterpart. No adverse reaction will occur; however, by mixing the wrong gel and powder together each mask may have slightly differing drying times.

| The Layer 4 Mineral Mask heats up to help the other layers work better and penetrate deeper into the skin. What happens in this layer is a reaction from the minerals (Calcium and Magnesium). When the 4A and 4B are combined, the minerals activate and create heat. It heats up to about 101 degrees F. It hydrates further, and helps the seaweed do its job better in regulating melanocytes which in turn helps even out the skin tone. The seaweed mask is semi-permeable, which is how the heat is able to penetrate it, and feel the warmth on the skin. |

| The most dramatic results will be achieved with mature, dry, sun-damaged skin types. However, younger clients can benefit if their skin is dry and prematurely aging due to overexposure to the sun. This treatment should not be performed on oily or acne skin conditions.

55. | Can I use steam with any part of the Vita Cura Five Phase Firming Facial? |
| We do not recommend using steam at any point in this facial. Steam is used to soften the skin and prepare for extractions. The enzymatic peel will assist in dissolving comedones; however for a client with acne, or who requires extractions, please recommend the Repêchage Hydra Medic Facial. The enzymatic micropeel will de-activate with the use of heat. However, you may use a COOL vaporizer to keep the skin moist. |

56. | Can I use another cleanser with the VC5 facial, to customize to the client’s skin type? |
| Please use the cleanser included with the facial. This cleanser will work perfectly with all skin types appropriate to the facial: clients over 40, or clients of any age with dry or sun-damaged skin. |

57. | Will the Phase 1 Micropeel of the Vita Cura Five Phase Firming Facial ever be available separately either as a professional or retail product? |
| At this time we are not producing it as a stand-alone product either professionally or as retail.

58. | Do I need to use an eye product in addition to the Vita Cura Opti-Lift Serum for hydration? |
| The Opti-Lift Serum contains hyaluronic acid, which has the ability to hold 100x its weight in water. Opti-Lift Serum will also help with fine lines and dark circles. Depending on the client’s needs, they can also use the Opti-Firm Eye Contour Cream. |

| The Vita Cura anti-aging actives are pentapeptides, red clover, seaweed and hyaluronic acid. Opti Firm uses Aosa seaweed, Retinyl Palmitate, Echinacea, Gotu Kola, and Gingko Biloba. The Vita Cura and Opti Firm go hand in hand, and can be used together for maximum benefits. The Opti Firm is great for mature clients who don’t wear make-up, and need SPF protection (through the use of the Lift Cream SPF 10.) The Vita Cura Renewal Toner contains salicylic acid, which is great for clients who are concerned about wrinkles and hyperpigmentation, but also experiencing mild acne or breakouts.

61. | How often should one receive the Hydra Medic Facial? |
| It depends on the acne condition. Ideally, the client should receive it once a week for four weeks and monthly for maintenance purposes. It is important to monitor the client’s progress, and adjust accordingly.

62. | 62. Can pregnant women use Hydra Medic for Acne Skin products? |
| Yes, however DO NOT use the Beta Hydroxy Serum that contains a higher level of Salicylic Acid. The Hydra Medic Mattifying Moisturizer can be used at night in place of the Beta Hydroxy Serum. Also, the Clear Complexion Drying Lotion can be used as a spot treatment overnight to clear up blemishes.

63. | Can the Hydra Medic Desincrustation Mask be purchased separately? |
| No. The Desincrustation Mask in the Hydra Medic Facial Treatment is part of a kit designed to be used together for maximum benefits. Please perform all facials according to protocol. The Desincrustation Mask will soften the skin and comedones to make the extraction process easier. The Hydra Medic Treatment can be used on anyone with a need for deep pore cleansing, especially for those with hard to remove comedones and acne conditions.

64. | When would you use the Clear Complexion Mask vs. the Hydra Medic Sea Mud Perfecting Mask? |
| Both can be used directly after extractions. The Hydra Medic Sea Mud Perfecting Mask is a great anti bacterial mask which absorbs excess oil, deep cleans, and prevents future breakouts. The Clear Complexion Mask is also anti bacterial, but should only be used when infection is present.

65. | Can you apply the Hydra Medic Clear Complexion Drying Lotion after electrolysis to prevent breakouts? |
| This product is meant to treat existing pimples. Sooth the area first with Deep Relief Tea Gel or Hydra 4 Mask. Then recommend home care with Hydra Medic products to prevent breakouts.

66. | Now that summer is over, I’m noticing more breakouts even though I’m still using Hydra Medic and Hydra Refine products. Why? |
| The reason is twofold: Many sunscreens used in the summer, especially those with super high SPF and waterproof bases, are comedogenic. Also, prolonged exposure to the sun thickens the epidermis. Once the summer is over, the epidermis goes back to its normal state, and all these dead skin cells will now clog the pores.

| It does not contain wheat, and neither does our Herbal Astringent. Our Ethanol is made from corn. Ethanol is called "Grain Alcohol" only to distinguish it from "Wood Alcohol", which is Methanol and is not used in cosmetics.

70. | Why did the Hydra Dew Nourishing Gel Cream start to ball up as I was massaging it? |
| The skin was not thoroughly cleansed or the cleanser was not thoroughly rinsed prior to starting the massage.

| Yes - our Perfect Translucent Powder. There is much misinformation with regard to talc. Talc is a naturally occurring mineral. It will not clog the pores or cause adverse reactions because it is inert. If it did, baby’s bottoms would have acne! |

| SPF is based on UVB only, so a high SPF doesn't necessarily mean better protection. At this point there is no approved protocol for measuring the amount of protection afforded in the UVA range. There are more sunscreen actives on the market that screen at UVB wavelengths, because of historical reasons: During the first decades of sunscreen development people wanted to tan, so narrow spectrum actives were desired, that protected against burns in the UVB range, but allowed tanning in the UVA range. Because of our evolving understanding, we now want broad-spectrum screens that protect not only in UVB but as much as possible in UVA.
In the Hydra Soleil line this is achieved by including Titanium Dioxide, which physically reflect rays and utilizing Oxybenzone in the SPF 30, which adsorbs and transforms UV radiation. Even with the use of sunscreens, free radicals do form, leading to damage to DNA, fibroblasts, cell walls, etc. In the Hydra Soleil line significant additional protection is afforded by the utilization of Vitamins C and E as well as the revolutionary use of the protective organism Thermus thermophilus, from deep-sea hydrothermal vents. | The products’ packaging design incorporated a mechanism to create a mousse from a liquid product. Also, there are many other compounds, natural and synthetic, that foam and clean besides soap. |

| Soaps are not the only compounds that clean. Soaps have a very high pH, making them alkaline, are very harsh, irritating, drying, and they leave a residue. There are many other compounds we use to effectively clean the skin, which are much more gentle, and non-irritating. |

| The Lip Rescue Kit is meant to be a retail item, however, it can be applied by the technician in the salon, and then the client takes home the kit. This will prevent cross-contamination of the Lip Massager, as it can be difficult to completely sterilize, especially because it goes so close to the mouth. Always be sure to sanitize the lip massager between uses with Alcohol. |
