It’s hot, it’s cold, it’s humid … the weather is changing and things are inconsistent, so how do you treat your skin? We’ve got some tips on how to treat skin that seems to be bi-polar in the spring season!
Tip 1: Make use of multiple-moisturizers
We know how it goes during the spring – some days it’s super-hot, and some days you still think it’s January. During the spring, it’s important to have multiple moisturizers stocked in your cabinet. For those colder days, a hydrating serum followed by a more emollient moisturizer should be used. For days where it feels like July, you might want to use a more lightweight moisturizer, or if your skin is naturally oily, you can just use a serum to hydrate your skin.
Tip 2: Don’t get mad, get matte!
Particularly for those consistently warmer days one of the biggest skin concerns we here about is oily skin. During the spring, the only thing that should be doing the shining should be the sun! Use an oil-controlling serum throughout the day, and of course touch up with a mineral-based powder throughout the day for a matte finish.
Tip 3: Carry hydration with you.
As the weather warms up, it’s super important to drink your liquids and have a bottle of water on you at all times to prevent dehydration. The same goes from your skin. Not only should you be hydrating from within, but carrying a moisturizing facial spray is a must. This will feel good on your skin when it is need of a refresher, and will give it a dewy look all day long!
