It’s prom season! With prom being such an important and memorable night, you’ll want your skin looking it’s best. To make your skin is perfectly pampered for pictures, we’ve got some tips for you!

Our first recommendation – skip the tanning beds! We know local tanning salons may be running prom specials to get you walking through the door, but don’t give in to the temptation. As we’ve discussed before, tanning beds are in no way less harmful than the sun. No matter what the source of UV radiation, the sun or fake-baking it, both can lead to hyperpigmentation, sun spots, wrinkles, and the most harmful of them all – skin cancer. Knowing these risks, be smart and make the right choices when it comes to your skin. If you are really longing to be bronze, opt for a spray tan. Exfoliate from head to toe with an all over body exfoliator like Repêchage Sea Spa Glow Natural Exfoliator with Dead Sea Salts and apply Repêchage Body Soufflé afterwards. This pre and post combination will leave you with a more evened tan and golden glow!  And remember, there’s always the option of embracing your natural complexion! A simple fix with some natural Repêchage Perfect Skin Liquid Foundation will even out your skin tone, and leave it naturally glowing and beautiful – minus the skin damage. Trust us on this one, the tanning beds are not worth it!

Another way to ensure beautiful skin is to treat your skin to a mask. Leading up to prom, before school, apply the Repêchage One-Minute Exfoliating Mask to your face. With natural rice bran wax to exfoliate your skin, this mask provides an amazing exfoliation to slough off those dead skin cells, and the best part – it only takes a minute! Laminaria Saccharina seaweed in this mask will help control the oil production, which is great if you have oily skin and black heads. If you have normal skin, this mask works as well. Regardless, it will leave it super clean and super smooth – not dried out!

Lastly, we say to go the extra mile this time around – get a facial! Prom is a night you will remember forever (and will have social media to help you remember it as well!) If you’ve never treated yourself before, now is totally worth it. Visit your local salon/spa, and let the skin experts take over. A professional esthetician will be able to analyze your skin, recommend and apply a professional facial treatment, and have your skin in perfect shape for the big night!
