It’s easy to spend the whole summer focusing on sunscreen and nothing else, but you need to do more than just block the sun this season! Doing a weekly deep cleansing, heading off rough, dry beach feet at the pass and keeping skin nurtured and hydrated are all things that should be part of your summer skin care regimen, in addition to minding the sun.

In this week’s blog we’re going to help you stay on top and ahead of the game by sharing our three summer beauty essentials!

Using a deep pore cleansing mask.

Going about your days this summer, you’ll find that with all the sweating and sunblock going on, your skin may build up dirt and oils faster than before which could contribute to problem skin.

Don’t let your counter-top skin care be counterproductive! Keep pores free of dirt and oil by using a deep pore cleansing mask with deep cleansing ingredients like Kaolin Clay and Ichthammol to help absorb impurities from the skin.

Putting on foot cream every day.

Aside from sunburn, perhaps the second biggest fear when stepping out in the summer is how are our feet are looking? If your coastal compadres can’t tell if they brushed up against a conch shell or your heels, you probably need to practice some foot care.

Keep rough feet hydrated with a foot cream for dry skin that is emollient enough to stay on your feet all day, but not leave your toes covered in sand. Ingredients like Seaweed and Vitamin E will help keep feet soft and sandal ready throughout the day.

Hydrating your face with a serum.

Many people see more oil produced on their skin in the summer, and are reluctant to put on anything that helps hydrate or moisturize. Even if your skin is oily (and moisturizers for oily skindo exist) you shouldn’t skip out on hydrating, especially if your skin is oily and flaky at the same time. In fact, this is one of the signs that your skin is dehydrated.

An oil-free serum loaded with Seaweed suits all skin types, and will help deliver that dose of hydration while ensuring your skin is in contact with essential nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, amino acids and trace elements – double bonus!

By including these points into your routine, your skin will be prepared for any day the coming months will throw at you! So kick off those sandals and kick up those heels, it’s time to relax!
