Workout Skin Care Tips

Hi I’m Natalie Otto, licensed esthetician and Corporate Educator at Repêchage. Going to the gym is a great habit to have -  but we want to stress how important it is that you are taking proper care of your skin during and after a workout session!

For one, while working out make sure you are washing your hands as you move around from station to station, to ensure there is no bacteria on your fingers. Gym mats and work out machines are loaded with bacteria! Do not give into the temptation to wipe sweat off your face, unless you want to clog your pores with dirt and debris!

When you sweat, your pores open and your skin secretes oils and any bacteria that may have been inside of them. This is why it’s crucial to cleanse your face as soon as your workout is finished!
