For over 30 years, Lillian Nathanael has been providing skin care treatments to men and women in Melbourne, Australia.

After receiving her beauty license, working in various salons, and teaching/ earning a degree in education at Melbourne College, Lillian decided to open her own beauty business, Beauty Science, in 1994.

As a skin care professional and business owner, she has stuck to her own motto, “Never stop learning and improving,” by completing trainings in dermal therapies, cosmetic tattoo and most recently “cosmetic nursing.”

How long have you been using Repêchage and why Repêchage?

I have been using these products since installing Repêchage into our clinics in 2003 and will never change! (Besides, my mother would kill me as she is the biggest fan!)

Have your clients experienced a change in their skin with Repêchage treatments/products?

The results are absolutely incredible! We’ve seen changes within 1-2 weeks, and know we can help clients. As a result, my staff can approach these skin concerns with confidence.

Why do you use these products?

My skin is a normal but I still suffer from occasional stress and the appearance of hormonal breakouts around my chin.

I have found the Biolight Collection helps by being lightweight and hydrating without clogging my pores.

Biolight has also helped me reduce the appearance underlying pigmentation and sensitivity that has crept up on me over my lifetime, especially here in the Aussie sun!

I am also conscious of the look of skin laxity and fine lines so using C-Serum is like my vitamin cocktail every morning!

What do you tell your clients is the MOST important step in their skin care routine and why?

Cleansing and protection! We find that most clients don’t do these very well and are not vigilant.

You need to cleanse properly in order to create the perfect foundation for your other skin care products and help minimize the appearance of breakouts and irritation.

A protective day cream and foundation are going to be your best friend when it comes to reducing the appearance of free radical damage and visible signs of oxidative stress due to UV radiation.

For clients who just can’t commit to a full skin care routine, I always recommend they at least _____.

Change their foundation to Perfect Skin Liquid Foundation for daily use! It contains vitamins and is oil and fragrance-free. 

It will keep their skin hydrated, protected and help reduce the appearance of problem areas and sensitivity.

What are your top 3 skin care tips for clients? 

  1. Do not miss your monthly facial as this is your ‘me’ time to look after yourself and boost your home care efforts.

  2. Do not perform your own extractions as this will cause scarring, and more breakouts due to cross infection!

  3. Do not mix product ranges as this confuses your pH level and causes irritations and side effects. And you won’t know which product the culprit is!

What are your top 3 health and wellness tips for clients?

  1. Get good sleep by sticking to routine hours.

  2. Drink adequate amounts of water throughout the day.

  3. Reduce or avoid fast food (especially fried).
