Our classes go further than product training. You'll learn how and why each treatment works, how to read the skin in front of you, and how to turn what you know into a stronger spa or salon business. Every class is taught by the Lydia Sarfati Skin Expert Team, with guest experts joining throughout the year.

Lydia Sarfati founded Repêchage in 1980 after seeing what seaweed could do and asking what it might do for skin. That same curiosity shapes every class at the Academy. You'll leave understanding the science behind our marine-based treatments, the reasoning behind each step of a protocol, and the business decisions that keep a treatment room booked.

Lydia Sarfati is a master esthetician and the founder of Repêchage. She introduced the Repêchage 4-Layer Facial in 1980, and her methods are now taught in schools around the world. At the Academy, she and her Skin Expert Team share what decades in the treatment room have taught them: the skin science, the technique, and the business.

Julia: I'm from Spain, and I came here to do the Repêchage Master Class because everyone was saying so many beautiful things about it that I had to try, and it was worth it. Taking an eight-hour flight just to do the Master Class was totally worth it. What I've learned here, and what I like most, is that they don't only teach you how to apply the products on your clients. Does a Repêchage certificate replace my state license?
No. Our certificates reflect your knowledge of Repêchage treatments and products. They don't replace the certification or licensing your state requires.
How much do classes cost?
